Dynamic Duo of Clifford Hodge and Chris Ellis to PBA

Two of the hottest Fil-Am commodity next PBA Draft Clifford Hodge and Chris Ellis is now official part of PBA Rookie Draft next Thursday.

Despite being vocal on joining the new Smart Gilas , it seems that the pressure from the those teams who opposed their first decision of not joining the Rookie Draft got the last laugh after all.

Reigning PBA D-League MVP Clifford Hodge is a 6-foot-4 athletic and energetic forward who can mix-it up down the paint. His strength and instinct on the defensive side and rebounding category has made him  a PBA Ready after. Hodge also developed a mid-range jumper which he showed last conference. In contrast, Chris Ellis is more of a finesse player who can shoot from beyond the arc and can finish his drives through layups or dunks.

The Duo also led the NLEX Road Warrios to thre straight PBA D-League title and were also part of the Sinag Pilipinas National Team that represented our country  in the 2011 Southeasy Asian Games.

“It’s ideal for us to join the draft because we can serve the national team anyway even if we join the PBA,” Hodge told InterAKTV.

“I think this is the best time for us to move up to the PBA,” added Ellis. “We’ve won three championships in the D-League with NLEX, but we felt we can improve our skills further by joining the PBA.”
