Another Walk in the Park for Smart-Gilas Philippines over Malaysia 85-50

The Smart-Gilas Pilipinas is just one win away from winning the title in SEABA Qualifying Tournament for FIBA Asia Cup in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Anchored by the balance scoring from locals, the Philippines easily outgun the Malaysian team as they fired-in 43 points in the second quarter compare to 16 of Malaysia.

Former Red-Lion ace shooter Garvo Lanete paced the Philippines with 14 followed by Douthit and Baracael with 9 points. Chris Tiu registered his lowest output in this tournament as he finished the game with only 4 points but his game-high of 9 assists proved to be enough for his team.
